The Drake fan that I am, I honestly got goosebumps just hearing the first few notes of the intro music floating to the scene. It sure is a trip back to wonderful Uncharted memory lane.

This motion comic actually will come in four parts, all of which are beautifully penciled by the very talented Marco Castiello of Witchblade fame. Animation, of course, is by Sony.

This one, however, is just a teaser of sorts — an extra special sample, if you will. What you will be getting tomorrow, instead, is a story on how Drake teamed up with American bad boy stuck in Indonesia, Daniel Pinkerton, so that he can get enough funds to raise Sir Francis Drake’s casket from the middle of the ocean. Hey, Nathan never claimed to be a goodie-goodie. He’s an adventurer, and he means to get his treasure any means possible.

Naughty Dog game designer Neil Druckmann, co-lead designer and Motion Comics writer, said of the episodes you will be getting on PSN, “Here, he’s willingly getting hired by a known criminal.” It’s still Drake. He’s got his good side.”

The Uncharted Motion Comics’ first episode goes live on PSN tomorrow (later, depending on where you are and when you’re reading this), running for five minutes each, while the rest will come trickling in at the end of November. Not sure about how much it’ll cost individually, but US$ 2.49 is it as a bundle.

Enough of the chit-chat. Go click play and enjoy! Uncharted 2‘s also out now, so get a move on and join Nathan in his new adventure.
