Kikizo brings us some interesting impressions on Ubisoft’s long in development,

Splinter Cell: Double Agent

. Double Agent is the next game in the Splinter Cell series of stealth action games from the acclaimed developer. This new entry paints protagonist Sam Fisher in quite a different light than we’re used to, no longer is Sam the cool customer who’d kill your dog and you’d never know it, he’s a broken man who’s fallen on hard times. Sam’s daughter, Sarah has died recently, sending him into a state of emotional turmoil that causes him to quit his job, the next time we see Sam he’s in jail, and it only gets worse from there.

“You begin the game in prison and your first task is to find a guy called Jamie Washington who you must befriend, so to infiltrate his organisation and take cover as a double agent.

You also have to make sure those who want him dead on the inside don’t succeed. You also have to escape and you won’t have your trademark goggles to help you.”

from Double Agent on the various platforms, as well as further information on the changes to gameplay being made to the game for its next generation outing on the Xbox 360.
