Actually, this bit of news hasn't exactly been announced officially by Nintendo. RewindReplay, however, is claiming that Super Mario All-Stars will be going back to printing.

The claim was based, of course, on their anonymous source who said that a reprinting is in order for the Wii's limited edition due to incredible popular demand. The game was released last year in honor of the world's famous plumber's 25th anniversary.

The All-Stars Limited Edition packs together several Super Mario titles all in one disc: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3.

When it came out in North America back in early December, gamers were also treated to a soundtrack CD as well as a retrospective booklet.

A good measurement, probably, of this "popular demand" for the game is the fact that the item is being sold on eBay for US$ 60 - that is twice the price of the original market price. Now, it's up to you if you want to pick it up at eBay, or if you'd prefer to pay for it at the regular price, since it's still available at GameStop anyway.

marioIf in case the copies do run out, then let's hope that this re-printing buzz does come to light, just so fans will still have a chance at being part of the celebration of Mario's long-running reign.

We'll be sure to update you as soon as Nintendo announces anything official on this matter.
