‘Mission: Impossible 3’ coming this May to your cellphones!

Mobile gaming giant Gameloft has announced that it will release a brand-new game for cellphones this May, Mission Impossible: 3.  The game’s release is to coincide with the rollout of the movie of the same name.

This is to be the company’s latest big-name release after last year’s War of the Worlds and Peter Jackson’s King Kong last fall, both sales successes for the company.  Gameloft will also introduce a game based on The O.C. later this year.

How long, we wonder, before everyone else catches on?  Not too long, perhaps, after EA’s acquisition of Jamdat, which we talked about earlier.  And Gameloft’s success with its high-profile games definitely can’t hurt, either.
