Call of Juarez out now, included in various events

Call of JuarezIn the gaming industry, it has always been a practice to see titles get ported from one platform to another. Not to make a contest out of it, but different versions are oftentimes compared. Take for example the first person shooter Call of Juarez. Under Ubisoft‘s care, the game will provide Western action for next-gen consoles (still not mentioned which) courtesy of developer Techland.

On the other hand, Call of Juarez PC version was finally released today in Australia. Europe had the game first last month while U.S. fans can give it a try on December 5. Developed by Brisbane-based Auran, the game offers above average graphics and an elaborate multiplayer component.

Speaking of which, Auran is planning to hold a multiplayer tournament at the Game 1 Expo on November 4 and 5. The competition, together with the rest of the gaming and technological festivities, will be held in Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Melbourne. Also, the same world class activity center will play host for the eGames and Entertainment Expo. The game, once again, will be present complete with the upcoming map pack.

Call of Juarez allows players to explore virtual and vast landscape of South Texas in an 1883 setting. It involves characters Billy, a fugitive who was accused of killing his mother and stepfather; and vigilante Reverend Ray McCall. Players have the option to control any of the two.
