Those who are still tossing dimes deciding whether they’d pick up a copy or not for their PlayStation 3s, Xbox 360s, Wiis, or Windows rigs may love what’s coming before that. Atari has plans to release demos for before their version’s respective release dates.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, it was said that Alone in the Dark (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, Windows, Xbox 360) will be arriving by June 20 in Europe, while gamers in North America can try their hands at the 15-hour long “action-horror game” by June 24.

These two dates stand true for the PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, and PC versions, but not for the PS3 build that’s targeted for fall of 2008.

At Atari‘s European forums back in March, community manager tenebra claimed that Atari had plans to release demos for the PC and Xbox 360 in early May, with a PlayStation 3 demo to follow later.

That hasn’t come to fruition, however, and a follow up with Infogrames CEO Phil Harrison last week revealed that Atari has plans to release the Xbox 360 demo about a week before the game launches on the console. Taking Europe’s release date into consideration, that would mean we must wait for June 13.

This could also represent the same date that the PC version of the demo will release. If accurate, the plan seems deviously put together as well – June 13 marks a Friday the 13th this coming month. Fancy that?
