Treyarch Tries to Get More Gamers Online |

Believe it or not, there are actually a hefty amount of gamers who still aren't into the online universe quite yet. Whether it has to do with their slow connection speeds, or maybe lack of funds to pay for Xbox live, Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar claims that there are still some sectors of the crowd that still need a little bit more incentive to sink their teeth into the multiplayer stratosphere. For the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 2, developers hope that their newly designed combat training mode might be just what the doctor ordered.

Even though most of us are more than familiar with playing this first-person shooter title online, the game's lead developers let us know that you would be surprised at the discrepancy between overall purchases and active online user accounts. Having spent so much of their time trying to craft the most intricate and worthwhile online experience ever seen on the franchise, Vonderhaar says that these stats are enough to "bug the sh** out of us." As stated the reasons for excluding online play can be numerous, but at the end of the day, the team thinks we should all be settling down for this kind of gameplay.
To rectify and promote this message, the game's newly designed combat training has experience and leveling up procedures that will be carrying on to your online experience. Essentially if you play through the first ten levels, any leveling up you do will also happen on multiplayer as well. Once you get beyond ten, additional XP will count for half of their actual value towards your online profile. Are there any of you gamers that simply don't like to play the CoD series online, and will this little additive be enough to invite you to play?
