Is Xbox Live Going To Get Original TV Programming |

According to a Bloomberg article, Microsoft are looking for a TV executive to help in leading a project that will bring original TV programming to Xbox Live, as opposed to bringing you content through other services.
It seems that Microsoft are taking a page out of Apple’s book and going the route of being more accessible and user-friendly to the mainstream audience, and trying to phase out the blurry line between gaming console and general multimedia device.

Currently, we have HBO, UFC and YouTube on the way to Xbox Live, but Microsoft wants to go on for more. The only problem I see with this is pricing. The average consumer isn’t willing to pay more to receive a small amount of more programming, considering what cable can already give them, yet nor are they willing to cut their current TV subscriptions for content streamed through their Xbox.
It’s a slow procedure with inevitable rough patches, but as years roll by, I can see more and more devices around the house hooked up to fewer and fewer services and machines.
What would you like to see accessible through Xbox Live?
