FIFA 12 will be fresh. |

Gameplay producer Aaron McHardy says Fifa 12 with be an "revolution" not an "evolution." With a focus on improving defense, subtle changes in player movement, and a tweaking of the often griped about "on-rails" attack system.
“FIFA for a long time was very automated,” says McHardy. “If you can run straight at the ball you can get possession.” EA Canada are hoping to change that by making the game more tactical, with a focus on anticipating player movements. The 'press' button has been changed to 'contain' giving the palyer more control over their team and when to put in a challenge.
This ties in with a tweaked attack system that will feature context sensetive dribbing and ball control, all designed to mimic player movements.
But perhaps the biggest improvement will come with the new physics engine, which EA have been working on since they started coding the EA sports franchise for next generation consoles. The Impact Engine will now feature individual joints and collisions can result in injuries specific to the impact area. An interesting touch, but with the amount of clashing I seem to do in an average game I wonder how many players will be left standing at the end of a match.
FIFA 12 is slated for release in October on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. If you would rather play FIFA 12 in 3D see what Matt Prior, Producer for FIFA 12 on Nintendo 3DS had to say.

Martin, it's FIFA 12, not Fifa 12.
If Konami doesn't go back to PES 5's or make the gameplay actually realistic, I won't bother with them again, because I don't like players running like robots.
FIFA = Realistic football
Vizard, a training system? FIFA already has a training system of their own, and it's fantastic!
