The woman who pepper sprayed a group of people in a crowded mall in Los Angeles, may have the best lawyers in the world. It was twenty people. That's probably more people than in your immediate family. Imagine if they all got maced in the face and then had no damages or compensation, based simply on the premise of self defense...okay that might be a relatively respectable case.
The original story we reported on a little over a week ago had the woman in question who pepper sprayed people to gain preferred access to a variety of locations in the store according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, themselves, calling what she was doing "competitive shopping." However, the police department had a different story asking "what am I gonna charge her with?"
After the stampede and insanity that was Black Friday, police are reporting that she wasn't using the pepper spray as a weapon because she could not have killed anyone. Rather. she was defending herself and that "there was no control" with the crowd.
Considering the coverage of the last Occupy protest in Los Angeles, I'm not sure I want to take the police's word on the current situation, but that's my international bias. Was the woman in the right? Would you charge her for what she did?

Stupidest s*** I've ever heard. If I was there and she got me with the mace or any friends I came with I would of gave her the boot. You don't mace anyone! Its incredibly painful. It was probably animal mace too which is even worse than what the cops have.

Prior to her spraying people evey single witness there say there was commotion, and ppl afraid they werent going to get an Xbox began pushing from the back , and rushing the stands.
There was no order what so ever.
And again people were in danger of being trampled at Walmart... AGAIN.
So pulled out her mace and warned everyone to back off or she woudl spray. She had beeen patiently waiting in line with everyone else, and A) did not want to be cheated out of an Xbox and B) didnt want to be stomped to death for one.
So she sprayed all the people. Order was restored, and she WALTZed away with her xbox. She didnt even run.
I applaud her, and wish stores woudl control these things more. Give ppl tickets outside in line for what they want. So ppl cant be killed on Black friday being stomped on again.
