THQ has been in the spot light for some time now and it hasn't been for anything good. Most recently we have seen them default on a $50 million credit arrangement with Wells Fargo.  Not long before that their stock took a nose dive as it dropped around 55% overnight.  This was in the wake of the announcement that they would be delaying their 3 anticipated titles Metro: Last Light, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Company of Heroes 2 signaling what can be described as the beginning of the end.

If THQ does go the way of the dinosaur we could never see these games.  That is unless Ubisoft steps in and takes over their assets. Right now the details are being kept under wraps but Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot has commented that “We are always interested in good brands. For sure, it's something we can consider, but I can't tell you more." So although THQ could be doomed their titles may not be.  All it will take is a company looking to expand its titles and enough money to buy them.
