Semiconductor giant Intel hosted the U.K. Gaming Championship back in September as a part of the London Games Festival. This time, the company is once again holding a competition in time for the Holiday season that involves titles Age of Empires III: The Warchiefs and Quake 4.
Quake 4... Wow! The PC version has been out for a year already and it is one of the first games to be ever released for the then-new Xbox 360, this id Software creation could be sitting idly in every gamer's room (Sniff). Anyway, time to dust off your Quake-rust and practice again on those shooting skills. Together with Age of Empires, Quake 4 will be the metrics used by Intel to determine the winners of this year's World Cyber Games 2006 Holiday Clash.
The competition would be on a PvP mode. The first player to win two of the three allocated rounds becomes the winner. The champion of the tournament would be getting US$ 1,000 in cold cash plus a Gateway FX530XT series gaming desktop PC.
