Watch Dogs + SmartGlass = ? |

A lot of things were revealed at E3 last week, and one of the most interesting was Microsoft's SmartGlass, which will allow mobile devices to instantly connect with consoles, etc. to bring the user related content. If you're watching Game of Thrones on your Xbox, for example, you'll instantly have GoT content accessible on your mobile device so you can get an interactive map of Westeros, etc. MS has also said that SmartGlass will be integrated into every first-party release someday.
As it turns out, Ubisoft was developing something similar all along for their new IP, Watch Dogs. Dominic Guay, Watch Dogs producer, says the intent is to "extend the game world" so you can use your mobile device to connect with your friends playing Watch Dogs in their living room if you want.
When asked about the resemblance of this new tech to SmartGlass, Guay said it was "a coincidence, but it's more than a coincidence because a lot of people now are using that type of interface, it's something that's really promising."
