This new video is part three of the "Playing Dead" series of videos that goes behind the scenes of the making of the game. What makes this one different is that not only does it show interviews and footage of the game, it also shows actual gameplay footage. And boy is it strange.

I starts out with an interesting puzzle in which you're just trying to get a broken radio to work so you can hear an emergency broadcast. Navigating around using the point-and-click kind of mechanic is all well and good. The social interaction of lying/interacting to other survivors (including the bit with Herschel) looks great. But then it gets to the combat and it looks like it's pretty much all quick time events - the bane of many a gamer's existence.

While no one was expecting heavy-handed zombie smashiness like you get in games like Dead Rising, I'm not sure people wanted QTEs. What do you think?

For $5 a pop per 2-hour episode, it's a pretty good bargain so the fans will probably be into it no matter what - assuming they're gamers. The first one will be out in late April.

I like the cell shade comic look and I am glad they are taking a different approach gameplay wise but that's about it so far. The voice acting didn't really seem very compelling at all and for a game as story driven as this, it really needs to be. I guess I will wait till the reviews are out but I won't be expecting much.
