Starting last night, many Xbox 360 users started reporting that their gamerscore and achievements had disappeared. Some said theirs had disappeared entirely, returning them to 0 G, while others had a few achievements missing seemingly at random. Once the cry went up (many were screaming "hack!") at the Xbox.com forums, Xbox Support put out an official response via Twitter, "We're aware of some gamer score issues at this time, and we're looking into it. Thanks so much for your patience."

A bit later, the issue appeared to have been solved. Xbox Support tweeted that all you had to do was sign out of your profile and sign back in and you'd be right as rain.

Yet that didn't solve everyone's problems. Many users still reported missing achievements. Currently, Xbox Support is saying that if you re-download your profile all should be well, but it remains to be seen if this solves everyone's issues.
