If you're a diehard Halo fan, the single player campaign is more or less just the icing on the cake to a game that encourages all-out multiplayer warfare of many types and varieties. With hundreds of hours logged and ridiculous leveling achieved, there are many players that will be spending years destroying opponents from across the globe the moment the game hits public store shelves on November 6th.

If you happen to be a fan of these two player created modes of play, the developers over at 343 Industries seem to be willing to hear your pleas loud and clear. According to the published preview on multiplayer, for the first time in the series' long-running history, you'll be able to using weapons while in possession of the Grifball. In addition to this interesting move, players will also be able to carry weapons while holding on to an Oddball as well rather than just having to run around aimlessly while avoiding the bullets of your enemies.
What does this mean for the game? Well I suppose you could say it suggests that those kill counts are going to rise based on the fact that now all players within the match have the ability to assassinate any foe that comes their way. Still as anyone could imagine, whenever developers change something crucial about how a popular mode is played. there are always going to be throngs of hardcore fans that revolt and revert back to more traditional mechanics. Will you be up for shooting down combatants in Oddball or Grifball? Let us know in the comments!
