Want to relive or imagine college life in a virtual manner?  How about a tropical vacation?  You can do either with a pair of expansion packs set to ship for The Sims 3 later this year.

Electronic Arts used a recent livestream event to announce two upcoming expansion packs for its popular simulation title in the form of The Sims 3: University Life and The Sims 3: Island Paradise.

According to the official press release, The Sims 3: University Life will feature a new town and campus where players can explore, party, network and socialize.  You can even study (it is college, after all) to earn a degree and move on into the corporate world. 

The Sims 3: Island Paradise offers plenty of leisure time for characters who can take the reigns of “of fully customizable houseboats and set sail in search of uncharted islands, create own and manage resorts or discover what lies beneath the ocean through the new skill-based scuba diving and snorkeling activities.”

University Life has a release date of March 5th, and Island Paradise is set to release sometime in June.
