The Toy Soldiers are back, and this time, they'll be marching their way to the Xbox Live Arcade. This much was confirmed by developer Signal Studios in a recent announcement.
Said the official press release, "The Cold War is decided when 80's era action toys come alive and wage war! Toy Soldiers: Cold War blends intense first person combat with addictive action strategy, whether you're scrapping solo or jumping into the fray with friends."
This XBLA version will be featuring a brand new co-op mode, as well as some new units, upgrades, improved physics and revamped AI. They will also be throwing in mini-games to give you that much-needed breather from all the action, and then some expanded unit trees and new secondary turret features.
Here's the list, according to Signal's official website:
- Fight the good fight! The Wall did not come down! Control the entire might of the Stars and Stripes to stop the invading forces of
- the Evil Empire! On land or in the air – drive, fly, and battle your way to victory!
- Highlights: Command the USA and USSR armies with brand new modern weapons and vehicles. Multiple Attack Barrages, Co-op or Single Player Campaign, improved Multiplayer Action, Co-op Survival Modes including Classic, Lockdown, and Hardcore, and fast-paced competitive Mini-Games!
