some people just get stupid with collecting, Hockey cards, Comics, and Models used to be good "collectibles" when a younger kid could actually afford to collect entire sets of things.
Now its power to the wealthy as more "collectibles" get produced specifically because of these types of Money wasting people. Its not something feasible by people who make less than 6 figures a year.
Therefore this type of "collecting" is merely a waste of money and more fuel for enterprises to spew out "fad" after fad in hopes of massive profits.
