Developers behind Time Splitters: Future Perfect explain why a fourth game hasn't happened yet.

"TimeSplitters: Future Perfect didn't perform as well as expected in the shops. Although fun to make, without stellar sales figures a further TimeSplitters game was going to be a tough one to sell to publishers," said Tristan Reidford, Lead Artist. "It's a hard game to summarise in an easy sentence like 'car modding racing game' or 'third-person stealth game'."

Time Splitters 4 has been rumored for some time now, but nothing has been announced as of yet. Free Radical, the original developer, is now owned by Crytek.

"I think we just felt that the franchise was well received but we had other things we wanted to try before going back to it. We weren't in any particular hurry to rush into TimeSplitters 4," added James Cunliffe, Lead Animator.

I must admit the first 1 wasn't that appealing but the 2nd and 3rd one were awesome.

I might even fire the old fat PS2 up an have a crack at them.

Loved the mini event things in the 3rd one, where you had to do stuff like - smash xx amount of windows in xx secs with a brick lol. I remember that one because it was a pain in the ass :)

I would say lack of marketing? I never heard of this game until I saw it in a flea market and the guy said it was fun. bought it, spent months playing it.. it had the best multiplayer shooting thing since goldeneye, which i heard is because a lot of devs from that worked on it. Better, even. With TONS of unlockables and fun characters to play as.

Talking of Goldeneye 007, that is on its way finally to all consoles, can't wait to see this game in HD graphics, if the game is anything like the Wii version, i loved it, and completed it on there.

Easy. TIMESPLIITERS 2 HD upscale. GO.

Come on. It's being done with MGS, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider. Why not TS2? That was by far the best of the 3.

It would at least keep us busy until TS4 is in the works!

All I wanna do is play TS2 on 2 PS2s but Sony removed the soddin firewire ports and setting up the lan on a PS2 is a pain in the ass. Even for a techy like me it's not easy.

Seriously. GOGO PS3 HD upscale.
