Lord of the Rings is going to get the LEGO treatment, it seems. There hasn't been any sort of formal announcement yet, but an image was leaked that was distributed to reviewers. It was apparently meant to depict boxes for actual Lord of the Rings LEGO toys, but featured the logo for Traveller's Tales (the dev for previous LEGO video games) and Warner Bros. Interactive. People put two and two together and there you go.
ShopTo also briefly had it listed with a little mock up box art. It was taken down, but not before someone or something snatched it up off the Internet for us all to ogle at.
This summer's LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes looks like it will have full voice acting, rather than the weird mutterings made by the LEGO characters in previous games, so it will be interesting to see if they go that route with this one.
The release date for LEGO Lord of the Rings is October 26th, 2012. For now at least.
