Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be getting a balance patch, absolutely free. This was promised by Yoshinori Ono himself, as seconded by Seth Killian.
Over at Killian's Twitter page, he confirms: "SSFIV AE balance patch coming in Fall or Winter, will be free!"

This balance patch should definitely calm down unsatisfied fans, who have been complaining about the issue ever since the game came out. A patch was released earlier this month, with that release focusing on the PC version.
The patch notes for that patch release included the following:
- Support for keyboards and gaming devices that were not being recognized by the game
- Patch allowing re-mapped keys
- Changes Fixed Mode as the default graphic setting
- DRM removed for non-Steam versions of the game
- NVIDIA 3D Vision enhancements
No date has been set yet for the release of the balance patch for SSF IV Arcade Edition, but we'll be sure to let you in on the info as soon as it hits.
