Steam Online Support Teases 360 Steamwoks |
Listed in: News Tags: steam support, steamworks

Looking over Steam Support this morning someone from Blast Magazine found that there is a new little box that could help those who have had problems with Valve games on their Microsoft console.
Earlier this year, head of Valve Gabe Newell had talked about the prospect of having the 360 be supported in the same way Sony agreed to house Steamworks and the cross-platform integration of Portal 2. So with this addition, they've either stepped up their game for people having problems with their 360 games or Steamworks may be coming to the 360
For long term readers of the site and by long term I mean, a month, some people might know me and what I write, I personally do not own a 360. Being, let's just say financially challenged, any 360 news I recieve is either through usual media outlets or heads up from friends who have 360's. One particular friend informed me of this story on Steam this morning, after a bit of checking around it seems the 360 support is simply about a few main categories that have been around since Valve's first involvement with the console back in 07 with THe Orange Box.
Network issues and a few minor gripes about technological issues such as graphical and menu glitches. So for now it looks like it's just a support for old games but there are chances as Valve's Erik Johnson has stated “We think customers would like Steam on Xbox 360. We think, anyway. We’d love to try that.”...me too Erik, me too.

A single online gaming network.
My only problem with steam is that it sucks for families, households.
Games registered to one account.
Achievements to one account.
What is one to do? Buy the same game for his/her spouse, children and any others that live in the same household?
They should find a solution to this problem and implement it right away.

Hey, did you hear? Final Fantasy 7 and 8 were mentioned in a steam file! It happened many years ago but you might want to write a "news" about it.

The Valve games on 360 came out a while ago, so it's understandable to be wondering why it's there now as opposed to when the games' releases were on 360.
The title is very misleading though, as this might not be a teaser for 360 Steamworks, but rather late support.

also back in 1999-2001(?) Eidos ported FF7 & FF8 to the PC so they might just be placeholders
