Star Wars: First Assault Could Pave the Way for Battlefront III |

There was a bit of a leak regarding something called Star Wars: First Assault last year; something that had a bit of a Battlefront III look to it. As it turns out, that may have been on purpose. An anonymous source supposedly in the know is saying that First Assault will be a downloadable multiplayer shooter pitting up to 8 Rebels against up to 8 Imperial Stormtroopers in those classic, iconic Star Wars locations such as Tatooine and Bespin.
Another rumor is that First Assault is "step zero" towards Star Wars Battlefront III actually seeing the light of day. It is said that if First Assault does well on Xbox Live, an argument for the creation of Battlefront III could be made and probably won. It is also theorized that First Assault would appear on the PSN should it do well on XBL.
This is all rumor and hearsay, of course, but we do have a couple of screenshots below to ogle!
