The new Star Trek game based on JJ Abrams' rebooted Trek universe was announced a while back and we've seen little snippets here and there, but today we're getting a better look at it. Well, kind of. It's really just another trailer showing Kirk and Spock getting their action on, rather than engaging in space diplomacy like they used to.

One cool thing that pops out in this new trailer, besides the similarity to Mass Effect, is the inclusion of the Gorn. Unlike the guy in the goofy rubber suit (which was great for the time, to be sure), this Gorn is a big honking lizard that looks like it could eat your head. But apparently wrasslin' it to death is still an option for Kirk. Or if you're playing as Spock you can give it the ol' pinch on the neck.

Star Trek will also have co-op so you can play best space buds for life Kirk and Spock side-by-side.

Anyone interested in checking out Star Trek when it comes out early next year?

It really does look like a low-budget Mass Effect.

Looks ok, atlthought a little low-budged, may be on the graphics shaders, and similar to mass-effect even if I never played that one, this one could a nice game, follow up from that awesome movie we all saw.
