Listed in: News, Games Tags: black rock studios, disney interactive studios
Rumors have been running rampant of the developer closing for about a couple of months now. They were supposedly working on a new project, an F2P RTS titled Champions Alliance, but that has been put on hold until this unfortunate final decision was made.

Back when word first broke out about the closure, Black Rock said in a statement, "Disney InteractiveStudios confirms that Black Rock Studios' current project has not been greenlit for further development, consequently the company informed employees yesterday of the intent to enter a consultation process on the proposal to close the studios."
Just before that, in May, Disney also laid off some of the staff within their own studios, indicating of more financial troubles than they would want.
