Are you a Splinter Cell fan?  Do you like Tom Hardy as an actor?  If so, you’ll get the best of both worlds then when the Splinter Cell movie hits the big screen.

According to Variety mag, Tom Hardy will play the role of Sam Fisher in the upcoming Splinter Cell movie.  Hardy’s played major parts in such films as Inception, Warrior, and The Dark Knight Rises, so hopefully his talents will make the Splinter Cell film a solid one.  The film has been trying to get off the ground since 2006, and Ubisoft has been trying to reach a deal with either Warner Bros. or Paramount to take over the project.  No details on an approximate release date have been given.  The Splinter Cell flick’s script will come from writer Eric Warren Singer, who previously worked on The International.
