Spielberg Halo movie for 2012 denied |
Listed in: News Tags: halo, Microsoft
So, rumors of a Halo movie in the works for 2012 have been going around for a while now. The buzz got amped up, however, when the name Spielberg was dragged into it.
If you'll remember, word of the 2012 movie was first reported by French fan site, Halo.fr. Now, however, they're claiming that they were given the wrong information. While they said that "A cinematic adaptation is scheduled for 2012," truth was, it was supposed to say, "A cinematic adaptation is not scheduled at this time."

A simple case of being lost in translation, probably. Either that, or somebody just got super execited about the prospect of a Halo movie. Nonetheless, Microsoft has not said anything about it, so this rumor definitely just got bust on its own.
It should be a bummer for the folks wishing hard for a Halo movie, though, but nonetheless, am pretty sure they'll be forthcoming about details on a movie if there ever will be one. It's too big a secret to keep.
