This spunky little cave adventure game that at least partially inspired Xbox's own Spelunky might just be a little bit far from gamers' minds at this point, but apparently the developers have not stopped loving their online title. According to my sources. there will in fact be a full and free update to the cave exploration puzzler on August 28th.

After two years of some ravenous complaining, this new add-on will finally fix problems that have plagued the game's camera within multiplayer modes. But if that's not enough to  whet you appetite, how does ten new championship stages sound? For free, I would say pretty  awesome! Because these levels are designed only for champions, they will be giving you fifty extra lives instead of the usual five. I'm guessing the developers are pretty confident that your brain and reflexes will be thoroughly tested with their new material.

To stoke the flame even more, Tozai says that they will be releasing seven more championship packs with ten more stages each soon after the update! For non-plus members those will cost you a mere two bucks each while Plus will get all of this content at half price. I guess it's time to dust off Spelunker again after all these years!
