Ryse: Crackdown 2 Devs Working with Crytek? |
Listed in: News Tags: Crytek, Ruffian Games, ryse

Ryse was unveiled by Crytek at E3 2011 to some hype and a fair amount of doubt due to it being a Kinect title. Then it pretty much fell off the radar..
Now Ryse is back in the mix, with someone turning up some CVs from some guys at Ruffian Games that hint that they are working on the multiplayer aspect of Ryse. One of them mentions an "Unannounced Kinect Title" for Crytek that features "multiplayer arenas." Now that CV has been replaced by a picture of that hacker guy (he'll always be Newman from Seinfeld to me) from Jurassic Park. Hmmm.
A different CV talks about "a multiplayer map for a first person melee combat game based in the CryEngine" on the Xbox 360.
If these CVs really are referring to Ryse, this is the first hint at multiplayer and it will be interesting to see where Crytek goes with it. Watching the trailer below, it would be interesting to see how they'd pull this off.
What do you think? Are the CVs referring to Ryse? Would you be interested in Ryse as a Kinect multiplayer fighting game? Is anyone even using the Kinect?
