Ps3 forever. Microsoft needs to stick to making OS's. Even then, they suck at that.

Either PS3 games will be priced the same, or Australia is the new Japan when it comes to Xbox support. Minus the ammount of effort MS puts into it. But atleast they still care about the same thing when they made that decission, money.

It's no rumour. It's just about right actually. In the UK 360 games retail at £49.99, which is $117.49 Australian Dollars, or $86 US Dollars.

It all works out about the same though since the British get higher wages than Americans or Australians. It evens itself out.

I bought my 360 with 4 games and it cost me £490, which is $846.99 US Dollars.

Vecha please just explain this to me.

You claim not to be a fanboy.

Yet, every comment that you have made just plain favors the 360 over the ps3. How can you explain that?

You accuse everyone else around you of being fanboys, yet you defend the xbox 360 every time you get a chance.

These priceses will be correct. Australia and New Zealand new PS2 and Xbox (the old xbox) releases usually come out around $100-$119 NZ or AU dollars. I wouldn't call this a rumour at all

Also we are expecting the Core Xbox 360 for $560 NZ and the full Xbox 360 to be $699 NZ.

Vecha needs to shut his ****ing mouth and continue with making his shack out of the game cases from all the overpriced Xbox 360 games he bought.

anonmyous how about you shut you "****ing" mouth...i didn't say "**** you mr.t" it was someone else using my name.

But anyone..i made no comments in here against the ps3.

In other places where i do...i'm talking about having no proof. The ps3 hasn't even show gameplay yet people believe it is the next best thing next to men creating fire.

I'll be getting the ps3...but i'm not faithful to any console, unless they deliever me something..and from sony's past of showing, "AWESOME" movies...that ended up being faith...i think its best to be over critical till i get what they say will be delievered in their next console

anon...you are probably the one who is using my name...its ps3 fanboys like you that give everyone who likes the ps3 a bad name...its a console, not a ****ing life.

maybe you should grow up, get a job, maybe get a wife, unless you happen to be a homosexual...which is fine, just get out of the closet.

vecha, you're funny:P

watch the metal gear solid 4 video that came online few weeks ago. it has hideo and his fellow producers manipulating colour scheme and stuff in real time.

if you were actually unbiased as you claim to be, you would have been able to spot that out, but I guess you are as biased as others say...

oh, btw, how can someone else use your name, I still cannot figure it out. is there something wrong with the security at qj.net?

oh, and over criticism is never great, even though you think you can justify it. it both hurts the supporters, and also lowers your own standards, as that kind of criticism just attempts to attack, instead of supporting with points to improve.

FACT : Australian games in the past have retailed around $100
Platinum edition retailed around $50
but in the present, prices seem to be deflating, as we can see $78 Burnout revenge at EB and other places.
Toys R' Us already had lower prices for not so popular titles, giving me some room to my bank for games for japanese taste, that while they are a great game, lacks promotion.

I was surprised when Black Edition of NFS Most wanted PC retailed for $61 at K-mart or somewhere, but couldn't buy it because I didn't have any money left ;(

anyway, that is not a big change compared to the US's $50 to $60 and some games, already retailed for that price before(MGS 2:Substance, etc)

Most games in Australia have actually been realeased at $89.95 but you will find place that rip u off if ur a complete idiot and believe the best place to buy games is Target Country. If u look at some Xbox games there Retail price is $120 so no big woop theyll lower the price down again to $89 or $99

LOL! that's ridiculous. $110-120 for a game???

Alot of people won't pay for that. Almost a certain death for Xbox here in Australia - besides... t's just a DVD-9, if it was HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, then that's a different Story...

Sad M$, Sad..

Kura, I have seen the MGS4 video, it's great. But it is like saying all the xbox360 games are great because DOA4 is amazing.

I really don't care about hurting the supporters or lowing my standards, this is online...not real life. No one knows me.

I love the ps3, i'll get one. But i don't agree with fanboys outright saying stuff that is not true. Like saying the 360 will blow up in your face, exagerated stuff as that.

I never once have said anything outrageous against the ps3, only my opinions that it might be like what sony did with the ps1 and ps2, if they do better this time, great, i'll be glad to give them my money.

If those figures are correct as some are saying, then Oblivion will be released on March 2, 2006? That would mean it will be release in NA earlier then that, roughly Feb. Please let this be true. :D

I dont see what all the fuss is about. There was no news story about the uk's xbox 360n game prices where they all seem to cost £50 highstreet which as someone has already said is like only 2 dollars short of the price they quote in this article and I see that some games are as low as a 100 dolloars which is about £42. So what Im saying is I dont see what all the fuss is about specifically about australia. I agree the prices are outragous when compared to us prices I just find it werid that there is an article about australia but not the uk
