Rod Fergusson Leaves Epic Games for Irrational Games |

For as long as most can remember, Rod Fergusson has been the #2 mouthpiece for Epic Games right behind Cliff Bleszinski. While they appeared to be inseparable at one time, now Fergusson has left Epic to go work for Irrational Games, who are busily trying to get BioShock: Infinite done.
"Yes, it's true, I'm leaving my family at Epic to join my new family at Irrational in Boston starting tomorrow," Fergusson confirmed via Twitter. This came on the heels of the news that art director Nate Wells and director of product development Tim Gerritson left Irrational.
Meanwhile, a couple of the co-op multiplayer modes that have been cut from BioShock: Infinite have made their way to the Interwebz.
First, there was a tower defense kind of game that involved miniature characters battling waves of toy-sized enemies in an "old-timey arcade machine." Hmmm. The other was given the working title of "Spec-Ops" and was plainly modeled after the Modern Warfare mode of the same name, with players battling against waves of enemies from the single-player game. It's unknown if this means there will be no multiplayer aspect left once it's all said and done.
Responding to the report, Irrational's Ken Levine said, "As I've always said, we are experimenting with things and only if they are good enough will we put them in the game."
What do you think about Fergusson's move? What about that co-op mode in an "old-timey arcade machine?" Pretty funky, yeah?
