Rockstar: LA Noire Xbox 360 lockups not due to game or console |
Listed in: News, Games Tags: l.a. noire, Rockstar Games
Rockstar Games has issued a statement regarding recent reports that L.A. Noire was causing issues to Xbox 360 consoles.

"With the launch of L.A. Noire a very small number of Xbox 360 console owners have reported issues with the game freezing or locking up while playing," reads a statement posted by Rockstar on its website. "We posted some troubleshooting tips on our support site for these very few people, a common practice for any game publisher. Unfortunately this was erroneously picked up by some news outlets as a 'story,' reporting that L.A. Noire was causing issues to Xbox 360 consoles - which is categorically untrue."
The firm points out once again that "L.A. Noire has not caused these issues to the Xbox 360 console or the PS3 console as previously addressed." It added that anyone who was having problems with the game or console issues, you can contact either Rockstar customer support or Xbox customer support.

And you're absolutely correct. What separates a good studio from one more lackluster is how they support their games one it releases.
