2. Epic thanks Fox and Lieberman

Whether or not Fox and EA actually did conspire to push Bulletsorm sales, Epic Games president Mike Capps thinks that the controversy -- inadvertently or not -- did serve to help the game is Epic Games president Mike Capps.

"Yes, there were people who were very excited about any attention at all," Capps told IndustryGamers last week. "For a game that's over-the-top, they probably helped sell more units than they convinced people to pick at us. What was most exciting about it for me [was the reaction from the media in the industry defending us]. Every journalist said this Fox report is junk... It's wonderful to see a media that's defending free speech."

"As for what it does for the industry as a whole I think it's terrible," Capps added. "There are people who really respect Fox News' opinions and look at that and are [convinced that video games are bad]."

Bulletstorm has received both very positive critical reaction and high sales figures since it launched late last month.

it helped a lot and 'supposed' experts are only helping what they hate... Keep doing this and more games will be sold and as a result the video gaming industry will become even bigger than it already is...

Shes basically insulting gamers throughout this entire article, essentially calling them stupid and sheep for "falling" for Fox's propaganda to attack her, basically trying to make herself look like the innocent good guy while demonizing gamers. As well as trying to blame everyone but herself, even trying to create some conspiracy that EA was in on it.

Please, she ****ed up, and now shes trying to save face while continuing to inflate her ego and insult us.

You just don't understand tone do you? She's not trying to save face, she admitted she made the comments and that they were used precariously by Fox. As far as saving face goes that seems more like an analytical statement than a pretentious one.

I would not be surprised. They were talking about the game before it was released. They usually only do that after a game has been released.
