Over 800,000 Subscribers for Battlefield 3 Premium |

EA's Patrick Soderlund has made the announcement that over 800,000 subscribers have signed up for the Battlefield 3 Premium in the first two weeks of the service. That isn't too bad at all is it? For a little bit of a comparison, 2 million people signed up for Call of Duty Elite in the first six months.
"We are very pleased with the performance so far," Soderlund said. "We're actually only two weeks into it, so it's a little early to tell how this is going to pay off. It certainly looks very promising now."
Because of this big success, Soderlund says that EA will be looking to implement something similar in future Electronic Arts releases. These comments echo those made EA top dog Frank Gibeau, so it will most likely happen.
What do you think about these sorts of programs? Have any of you got in on the Battlefield 3 Premium action? What do you think about it and would you recommend Battlefield 3 Premium to fans of the first person shooter?

With COD Elite all you get is a web thing similar to Battlelog and its $50 a year. This is a one time $50 fee for something, if you like playing BF3 a lot, will be more than your moneys worth. I'm waiting to be able to get it for less, don't get me wrong. I'm just a cheap bastard like that. But as it is, I still see the value of it.
