No Metal Gear Solid 4 for Xbox

Since the announcement of Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition, there has been no shortage of rumors. “Will it come to Xbox?” “Will it be exclusive?” “Does anyone want yet another version of an old game they already have?”


I can’t answer the last question, since that’s up to you. But I can answer the first two: No, and yes. In other words, Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition is not coming to Xbox 360 and is a PS3 exclusive. Sad story, I know.

“There are no plans to release Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360.”


Doesn’t get any clearer than that, eh? Big bummer for those of us that were hoping to check the game out on 360, but maybe it's just one more reason to check out those holiday PS3 bundles.

If the 360 had a blu-ray player, then maybe just maybe the game would have appeared on the console but it was specifically designed to played on the PlayStation 3. People need to get over it and move on.

It could run alright, and be installed onto the 360 HDD. They too lazy to port it and not want the extra cash.

It's also tied into a deal with Sony to be exclusive, hence why the original version is also only on PS3.
