Uniteed Front Games and Square Enix have put out a new trailer for Sleeping Dogs. If you haven't heard of Sleeping Dogs, it is essentially what became of True Crime: Hong Kong. In it, you take on the role of an undercover cop named Wei Shen who has been tasked with infiltrating the Triads.
Of course, as you work your way to the top you have to do all sorts of horrible things that stretch the boundaries of "the ends justify the means," and that will probably make up the majority of the gameplay. So far, it's looking appropriately violent given the material.
The game is said to feature a complex, intuitive martial arts mechanic that lets you use your environment to your advantage; whacking people with refrigerator doors, throwing them on table saws, things like that.
Sleeping Dogs has no firm release date yet besides "some time in the second half of 2012."
