New Dev Says They Will "Dramatically Reinvent the Halo Multiplayer Experience" in Halo 4. Mmm-hmm. |

Halo fans were a little wary when Bungie passed the torch to 343 Industries, but this new developer is trying to assuage their fears by...saying a bunch of stuff. "Our design goal was really to dramatically reinvent the Halo multiplayer experience," said Creative Director Josh Holmes, "and do that in a couple of different ways, certainly in ways that impact the core experience - the moment to moment - but also the surrounding experiences in different modes of play that we offer to players."
When pressed about the armor abilities of Reach that apparently upset a lot of people, Holmes said, "For us, we took a really hard look at Reach and I think it's important to note that the way we utilize abilities in this game is very different, much in the way that armor abilities were an evolution of the equipment system in Halo 3. The abilities that we have in our game are an evolution of what we experienced in Reach."
So I guess the main thing you can take away from this is that they aren't doing the armor abilities thing. It sounds like Holmes didn't like it anymore than most Halo players and is happily doing away with it - he's just saying it as nicely as he can.

they clearly listened to the armor changes, they are now basically like so we we wont do that.... but were still adding in a shit ton of other pointless extras to what was perfected 10 years ago by the PEOPLE WHO CREATED THE UNIVERSE IN YOUR HANDS.
dont fuck with perfection... unless you want to die. not really... but probably.
that is all.
