MS: Halo isn't an annual thing |

"People shouldn't look at Anniversary as part of an annualized franchise. I love the fact we're doing the Anniversary edition because I loved Halo 1. We just looked at it and thought it needed to be refreshed. It wasn't part of us trying to get into an annualized rhythm with the franchise," he explained to IGN at last week's E3.
"It will be done in time for this holiday that is the 10th Anniversary for Halo. It felt like a good time to celebrate it." That does not go to follow, though, that they'll be saturating the market with more of these remakes, although he did admit that they did consider Halo 2. "I wouldn't say this is a strategy for us to go back and remake Xbox 1 games."
In fact, it just so happened that the franchise is celebrating its 10th year in existence, hence it feels like there's so much going on with it, cos "it made sense."
"We don't really have a 'remasters' program that we're kicking off with this launch. There are obviously some great Xbox 1 games that would be nice to see, but we've focused most of our resources on creating new things. I'm not putting it in or out of bounds right now, though."
Just yesterday, it was revealed that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be running on two engines simultaneously, and that the new iteration, Halo 4, has been in development "for a long time already", actually.

You sure? There are plenty of things that are unimaginative things that sell well.

2009 - Halo Wars/Halo ODST (Wars only missed 2008 by 2 months)
2010 - Halo Reach
2011 - Halo Anniversary
2012 - Halo 4
Sounds pretty annual to me.
