More Rumors About New Consoles Revealing at E3 2012 |
Listed in: News Tags: e3 2012, next gen console, ps4, wii u, xbox 720

The rumors have been flying about the Wii U, PS4, and Xbox 720 (or whatever) for months now, but today there is a rumor flying about that looks like it just might be the real deal. Trade magazine MCV just comes out and says so in a recent article, not hedging at all.
According to the article, all three new consoles will be unveiled at E3 this June. The Wii U is no surprise, the new Xbox is a little more of a surprise, but the big deal is the PS4. Apparently, Sony is looking to make a huge impact and reclaim their place at the top of the pack by getting out of the gate early. After the PSN hacking fiasco of last year, it looks like Sony is going to try to get back in the good graces of the community at large.
As far as the new Xbox goes, it's due. I'm just hoping that backwards compatibility is enabled and that gamerscore transfers, but with the whole Windows Live ID integration they have in place it shouldn't be an issue.
E3 has long been the place to be to show off new tech, games, and the like, but if this rumor is true this year's E3 is going to be huge.
