Here’s an interesting rumor from the next-gen mill: EA and Microsoft have apparently signed some sort of exclusivity agreement for Xbox 720 content. Unfortunately, no one really knows what the content may be—DLC, early release dates, maybe a game?

Most agree that it is unlikely EA would release an Xbox exclusive, especially if the game is one of its tent pole franchises. However, exclusive DLC certainly has a precedent, as do staggered release dates. Rumors hint that the deal may have something to do with Battlefield 4 or whatever Respawn (the ex-Infinity Ward guys) is working on, but we all know how helpful rumors can be.

We’ll keep you posted as details emerge. No doubt whatever agreement has been reached will be made a big part of Microsoft’s very special April Xbox event.
