Molyneux is tired of the 'same' games

Molyneux

Peter Molyneux is tired of playing the same thing over and over again.

"I love new ideas and innovation," Molyneux said.

"I'm trying to think of a more diplomatic way of saying this, but I'm just a little bit bored of doing things the same way in games," he explained.

"While I love all the drama of modern games there is this sameness about it. They're essentially the same - one's got a green palette, one's got a grey palette; you're shooting and ducking and diving and it just seems almost on the point of being a little bit like Hollywood where they have got into this rut with their action films."

For once I have to agree with Molyneux. How many brown shooters have already released this year, and how many are on the horizon?

Check out what Molyneux had to say about the E3 2011 demo of Fable: The Journey.

Molyneux is a narcissistic douche canoe. He talks a big game, and then underproduces. I remember him going on and on about how game developers need to be able to make games that can be played with one button and that button will do different things in a given context. Zelda 64 did this way before anyone was giving this guy the time of day. He really needs to practice what he's preaching.
