Molyneux admits to making up game features |

As he accepted his BAFTA Fellowship award, he said, "I'd like to thank the press, by the way, for listening my stuff. Sorry - I've slightly over-promised on things on occassion."
Expounding on this confession, he said, "I could name at least 10 features in games that I've made up to stop journalists going to sleep and I really apologize to the team for that."

Of course he would have to apologize to his team. After all, once he says something to the press in the form of an official presentation, they would have to scramble and follow it through. They can't just be pulling an "I'm sorry, we didn't mean it" spiel for every invented feature that Molyneux gives out.
Regardless of that confession, however, Molyneux remains grateful that he was awarded the BAFTA honor for his contributions in the gaming industry. "Everyday I wake up and thank the stars that I'm still here now. I love my job so much and I really feel like going home and working harder than I've ever done to prove that I deserve this award."
Molyneux now joins the ranks of Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo), Nolan Bushnell (Atari founder) and Will Wright (SimCity creator) as BAFTA honorees.
