Modern Warfare expected to hit 1.1 billion in 6 weeks |

Every time Activision releases a new Call of Duty game, we know that the games break records not just in the games industry, but in the entertainment industry, in general. Last time this happened to a non-CoD franchise was way back in 2008 when Grand Theft Auto was released. The game actually got a Guiness Record for being the highest and fastest selling entertainment "item", then CoD came in and finally with Black Ops solidified the fact that video games make more than movies.
So we see with this fourth quarter release that Call of Duty may be at it again as Games Analyst (Oh Boy, I'd love that job) Michael Pachter, predicted this morning that MW3 will generate revenues of $1.1 billion in it's first month and a half (you know, 6 weeks). Pachter predicted that the game would sell more than Black Ops, at least 10% more than Black Ops.
Pachter also talked about the fact that CoD Elite, the premium service offered by Activision could obtain 4 million subscribers before the year is through. I'm wondering if Pachter has factored in the cost for CoD Elite as a way to bring in a lot more money to Activision's wonderful cash pile.
The $1.1 billion isn't far off as Blops generated $650 million in just it's first 5 days, which was a hundred million more than it's previous title, Modern Warfare 2,

I wont support BF3 because online pass is an outrage. I wont buy incomplete games. EA has overtrhown activision as the crappiest company ever.
Those who buy games with onlune pass are supporting this cancer and wasting their money.
