I know Black Ops II just came out, but it’s never too early to speculate on what the future holds for the Call of Duty franchise.  So, what’s next?  Modern Warfare 4?

To predict that Modern Warfare 4 would be the next release in line for the Call of Duty franchise would not require the help of Nostradamus.  There’s been some speculation that this would be the most plausible progression, and a report last month that claimed that voice actor Bill Murray (Captain Price) spoke of Modern Warfare 4’s plans added fuel to the fire.

We now have some possible details that further point towards Modern Warfare 4.  According to the Siliconera website, a source reported that Modern Warfare 4 will release in 2013, and that voice-overs are currently in action in Los Angeles.  As for MW4’s main character, he’s described as being a “battle-hardened veteran in his mid-thirties with a nihilistic point of view.”
