Minecraft! Minecraft! It’s coming, you guys! If you’re one of the many gamers eagerly awaiting the game’s Xbox 360 port, your wait is almost over. Microsoft announced this morning that the game would be hitting Xbox Live Arcade on May 9—for a price, of course.

Minecraft’s release is just one small part of Microsoft’s summer XBLA blitz, which begins on April 18. So far, four big titles are planned for launch over the next two months, with more announcements sure to follow as we move forward.

Here are the games, release dates and prices on everything that’s been scheduled so far:

April 18 Trials Evolution – 1200 MS Points
April 25Bloodforge – 1200 MS Points
May 2Fable Heroes – 800 MS Points
May 9Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition – 1600 MS Points

Ouch. Talk about price gouging. Minecraft will run you $20 of real money, while the other games on the list come in at $15 or below. Then again, $20 is about on par with the PC version of the game, so perhaps it’s not such a villainous move after all.

What do you think? Minecraft on Xbox?

And what about the people who paid for the PC version? If they want it for 360 they have to pay again?!
