Metro: Last Light, like so many other games, is a getting a super double secret limited edition. This one, however, will reward you by punishing you with Ranger Mode. Ranger Mode, as it probably goes without saying, is the hardest difficulty in the game. 

In Metro 2033, for example, there were two different settings for Ranger Mode. Ranger Easy made you more vulnerable to damage and disabled the crosshairs. Ranger Hardcore featured real punishment by disabling the HUD entirely and making it so that a single bullet would kill you.

So that's what you probably have to look forward to. On the upside, the Limited Edition will also net you the AKS-74U assault rifle and some extra military grade ammo as well, which you can use as currency or...just ammo.

The Limited Edition will be the only version of Metro: Last Light available at launch. Once they sell out, the standard edition will be sold. THQ is saying you should pre-order if you really want the Limited Edition. Of course they'd say that.

Metro: Last Light is out in March.
