Mass Effect 3: The DLC Cometh |
Listed in: News Tags: BioWare, earth dlc, leviathan dlc, mass effect 3
Last month we had a heads-up about the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC that may have been coming for, and now we have confirmation courtesy of voice actor Anthony Skordi, who plays the Reaper named Leviathan. The details that have been pieced together for this DLC are that Leviathan is a Reaper traitor that Shepard meets up with while he's on a mission to rescue Ann Brynson, a scientist trapped in a Reaper-indoctrinated mining facility controlled by the traitorous Reaper.
It's thought that this Mass Effect 3 DLC will shed more light on the Reapers' origins, etc. and that Leviathan will be able to be recruited as a War Asset.
On the multiplayer front, the totally free Earth multiplayer DLC pack will be out July 17th and will feature six new classes:
- (Soldier) N7 Destroyer: Multi-Frag Grenade, Missile Launcher, Devastator Mode
- (Adept) N7 Fury: Throw, Annihilation Field, Dark Channel
- (Engineer) N7 Demolisher: Homing Grenade, Arc Grenade, Supply Pylon
- (Infiltrator) N7 Shadow: Tactical Cloak, Shadow Strike, Electric Slash
- (Sentinel) N7 Paladin: Snap Freeze, Incinerate, Energy Drain
- (Vanguard) N7 Slayer: Phase Disruptor, Biotic Charge, Biotic Slash
It's said that the Shadow will have a sword like ninja-guy Kai Leng from the SP story (see the pic below), the Destroyer will have a T5-V Battlesuit that will give him "strong-but-slow mech-like protection," and the Paladin will have an omni-shield (again, see pic). There will also be new maps (reportedly Rio, London, and Vancouver), three new maps, and a new harder-than-Gold difficulty called Platinum.
It's all free and coming July 17th. Leviathan is not yet dated. More info may come forth at Comic-Con, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out the pics of the MP stuff below.
