BioWare is keeping up with its every-other-weekend events, and this weekend is called Operation Overwatch. The last event, Operation Broadside, ended in failure so this one will run a bit longer (10 AM PDT Friday July 27th through 5 AM PDT Monday July 30th).

This event will require the Earth DLC, as "Operation Overwatch drops troops on Earth to tackle the most secure Reaper strongholds. Reaper anti-air defense will make for high-risk extractions."

What this equates to in game terms is that the Squad Goal is surviving to extraction on any difficulty with at least one player using a character from the Earth DLC. The Allied Goal is to extract 800,000 individual players on any difficulty. Sounds easy.

Achieving the Squad Goal gets you a Commendation Pack, while achieving the Allied Goal will net everyone a Victory Pack and a character from the Earth DLC.
