Mass Effect 3 Day One DLC?

Ó

The Gamestop database has turned up something interesting on the Mass Effect 3 front. Employees from the gaming retailer have found within their database a mention of some ME3 DLC called "From Dust." And it has a release date of March 6th, which is the same day the game comes out. Day one DLC, yippee.

From Dust, not to be confused with the game of the same name, is supposedly going to cost $9.99 according to that same database. Someone purchased it already for that price.

There's not much more information, but those involved have distributed a picture of the receipt and one guy even snapped a pic of the Gamestop database listing.

EA and BioWare, of course, are thus far not saying a word about this.

It seems that Gamestop employees can't stop trying to make news in whatever small way they can. Well, I guess you can't blame 'em. Rage against the machine and all that.

What do you guys think about day one DLC?

The code better be included with the collectors edition.

i'm sure it will, as day one DLC is often used to get a few bucks of of them who buy their games used

My guess would be that this may well be a interactive story DLC much like the Genesis DLC for Mass Effect 2.

The point being it would allow a player coming fresh to the franchise to catch up on the story to date and make the key decisions from ME 1 and 2 to build their character for ME 3.

Just a guess, but the title "From Dust" could maybe relate too? Would also make sense to be a day one DLC if that was the case.
